Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Industrial Bag Filler to join our dynamic team in Coventry. This is a critical hands-on role involving the efficient and safe filling of industrial bags with various materials, ensuring precise quality control and strict adherence to safety protocols. Key Responsibilities
- Operate bag-filling machinery and related equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load raw materials into hoppers, ensuring correct material flow and supply.
- Accurately fill, seal, and label industrial bags according to product specifications and customer requirements.
- Monitor product quality throughout the filling process, performing visual inspections and basic quality checks.
- Perform routine pre-shift checks, minor troubleshooting, and basic maintenance on filling equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, strictly adhering to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including material handling, receiving, and dispatch as needed.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, quality deviations, or safety concerns immediately to supervisors.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to optimize production flow and meet daily targets.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including repetitive lifting of up to 25kg (55 lbs).
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions precisely.
- Unwavering commitment to safety procedures and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Effective communication skills for working within a team.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for recording data and reading labels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (1+ years) in a manufacturing, warehouse, or similar industrial setting.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Familiarity with automated bag-filling or packaging equipment.
- Experience with production tracking or inventory systems.
