Job Description
We are seeking a highly reliable and discreet individual to join our team as a Government Courier in Mount Isa. This critical role involves the secure and timely transport of sensitive government documents and parcels between various agencies and locations. You will be responsible for maintaining the utmost confidentiality and adhering to strict security protocols at all times. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and trustworthy individual who thrives in a role requiring precision and responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and securely transport sensitive government documents and parcels as per designated routes and schedules.
- Adhere strictly to all security protocols, chain of custody procedures, and confidentiality agreements.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip vehicle inspections and ensure the vehicle is maintained in excellent working order.
- Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, pickups, and logistical information.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, recipients, and other team members regarding transport status.
- Handle urgent and unscheduled transport requests with efficiency and professionalism.
- Represent StarTrack and our government partners with integrity and discretion.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian Driver's License (unrestricted)
- Clean driving record
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Excellent time management and route planning abilities.
- Ability to work independently and reliably.
- Physical capability to lift and carry packages as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in courier, logistics, or secure transport roles.
- Knowledge of Mount Isa and surrounding areas.
- Current security clearance or ability to obtain one.
- First Aid certification.
