Job Description
We are seeking a highly innovative and creative AI Prompt Engineer to join our fully remote team. As an AI Prompt Engineer, you will be at the forefront of shaping how our AI models interact with users and deliver value. You will be responsible for designing, testing, and refining prompts to optimize performance, enhance accuracy, and ensure our AI systems provide seamless and intuitive experiences. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, linguistic precision, and a deep understanding of large language models (LLMs) and generative AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and refine high-quality prompts for various AI models, including LLMs, to achieve specific outcomes.
- Experiment with different prompt engineering techniques, few-shot learning, and chain-of-thought prompting.
- Collaborate with AI researchers, engineers, and product managers to understand model capabilities and project requirements.
- Evaluate and benchmark AI model responses, identifying areas for improvement in prompt design.
- Develop and maintain prompt libraries, best practices, and documentation for consistent AI interaction.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and natural language processing.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of AI application development by providing insights on model behavior and prompt efficacy.
- Implement and monitor prompt performance metrics, iterating based on data-driven insights.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with prompt engineering for large language models (LLMs) like GPT-3/4, Llama, or similar.
- Strong understanding of natural language processing (NLP) concepts and techniques.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with relevant AI/ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Excellent analytical skills with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated creativity and innovative thinking in problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, AI, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with fine-tuning or training custom AI models.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI/ML services.
- Portfolio demonstrating successful prompt engineering projects or innovative AI interactions.
- Understanding of ethical AI principles and bias mitigation techniques in prompt design.
