Job Description
Australia Post is seeking a highly reliable and discreet individual to join our team as a Government Courier for Secure Document Transport in Taree, NSW. This critical role involves the secure and timely transportation of sensitive government documents and materials between various government agencies and designated locations. The successful candidate will be entrusted with upholding the highest standards of security, confidentiality, and professionalism. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and securely transport confidential government documents and materials within Taree and surrounding areas.
- Adhere strictly to established security protocols and procedures for handling sensitive information.
- Ensure timely pickup and delivery of all assigned items, managing routes efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of all transported items, including pickup and delivery times, and recipient confirmations.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the company vehicle to ensure safety and operational readiness.
- Report any discrepancies, incidents, or security concerns immediately to the appropriate supervisor.
- Represent Australia Post with professionalism and discretion at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Excellent sense of direction and ability to navigate efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- High level of integrity, trustworthiness, and discretion.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical capability to lift and carry packages as required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a courier, delivery, or secure transport role.
- Familiarity with Taree and surrounding regional areas.
- Current security clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Experience using GPS navigation and route optimization tools.
