Job Description
Join Cleanaway as a Green Waste Processor in Joondalup, WA, and play a vital role in our mission to divert organic waste from landfills and transform it into valuable resources. In this hands-on position, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe processing of green waste materials, ensuring compliance with all environmental regulations and company standards. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain green waste processing equipment, including shredders, grinders, and compost turning machinery, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Sort and remove contaminants from incoming green waste materials.
- Monitor the composting process, including moisture levels, temperature, and aeration, to ensure optimal decomposition.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of equipment, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with other site duties as required to support overall operations.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to safety and environmental best practices.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of machinery operation or a willingness to learn.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in waste management, landscaping, or heavy machinery operation.

- Valid Australian driver's license.
