Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as an Afternoon Server. This part-time position is perfect for someone looking for flexible hours, typically covering late afternoon and evening shifts. You will be responsible for ensuring our guests have an enjoyable dining experience, from taking orders to serving food and drinks with a smile. Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly upon arrival.
- Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using our POS system.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and professionally.
- Clear tables, reset dining areas, and assist with general restaurant cleanliness.
- Process payments and handle cash and card transactions.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and courteously.
Required Skills
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role (minimum 6 months preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 10kg.
- Valid RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate for Victoria.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with POS systems.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage pairings.
- A passion for providing outstanding guest experiences.
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required.
