Job Description
Are you eager to kickstart a career in the trades? Lendlease is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Tiler’s Offsider to join our dynamic team in Geelong. This entry-level role is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in tiling and waterproofing, working alongside experienced professionals. You’ll be instrumental in supporting our tilers, learning the intricacies of the trade from preparation to finishing. We value a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to safety. No prior experience is required – just a can-do attitude and a desire to build a skilled career!
Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified tilers with all aspects of tiling and waterproofing tasks.
- Prepare work areas, including cleaning surfaces, mixing glues, and preparing membranes.
- Handle and transport materials such as tiles, grout, cement, and tools.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite, ensuring safety standards are met.
- Cut tiles under supervision and learn proper cutting techniques.
- Support the application of waterproofing membranes and sealants.
- Adhere to all site safety policies and procedures.
- Show initiative and a proactive approach to learning new skills.
- Perform general laboring duties as required to support the project team.
