Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Night Shift Auditor to join our team on a part-time roster. This pivotal role involves ensuring the smooth and secure operation of the hotel during the overnight hours. You will be responsible for auditing daily financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing reports, while also providing excellent guest service and handling any overnight queries or situations. This on-site position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive audits of daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Reconcile daily revenues, expenses, and payments.
- Prepare and distribute daily reports for management.
- Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and issues during the night shift.
- Conduct regular security checks of the premises to ensure guest and hotel safety.
- Monitor and manage front desk operations, including check-ins and check-outs, as needed.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- Implement emergency procedures as required.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in common computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel front office or auditing role.
- Knowledge of hotel property management systems (PMS), e.g., Opera.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- A positive attitude and a passion for hospitality.
