Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Fodder Factory Hand to join our animal feed production facility in Berrimah, Darwin. This role is crucial to the efficient and safe production of high-quality animal feed products. As a Factory Hand, you will be involved in various stages of the production process, from handling raw materials to packaging finished goods. We are looking for an individual with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining our high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor machinery involved in the animal feed production process.
- Assist with the mixing and grinding of raw materials according to recipes and specifications.
- Load and unload materials, including bags and bulk ingredients, using forklifts or by hand.
- Package finished animal feed products, ensuring correct labeling and sealing.
- Conduct quality control checks on raw materials and finished products.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to hygiene and safety protocols.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation as required.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, with a strong focus on WHS guidelines.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform manual labour, including lifting heavy bags (up to 25kg) regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading instructions and recording data.
- A proactive and positive attitude with a strong commitment to teamwork.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a factory, manufacturing, or agricultural setting.
- Current forklift license (LF Class).
- Knowledge of animal feed production or agricultural practices.
