Job Description
Reading Cinemas Kalgoorlie is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Part-time Cinema Staff, primarily for evening shifts. This entry-level role is perfect for those who love movies and enjoy working in a vibrant, fast-paced environment. You will be instrumental in ensuring our guests have an unforgettable cinema experience, from greeting them at the door to preparing their favorite snacks.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to all cinema guests, handling inquiries and resolving issues with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems for ticket and concession sales, handling cash and electronic transactions accurately.
- Prepare and serve food and beverage items, including popcorn, candy, and drinks, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Assist with general cleaning duties of the cinema, including auditoriums, lobbies, restrooms, and concession areas, to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
- Perform opening and closing duties as assigned, including cash handling, stock replenishment, and securing the premises.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and operational policies and procedures.
- Check tickets and guide guests to their designated auditoriums.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Reliable and punctual, especially for evening shifts.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 10kg.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or retail role is an advantage.
