Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical ESG Investment Analyst to join our Wealth Management team in Wodonga. This role is crucial in supporting our commitment to sustainable and responsible investing. You will be instrumental in researching, analysing, and reporting on ESG factors across various asset classes, helping to integrate these considerations into our investment decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial markets, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for ESG principles. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of ESG factors for companies and investment portfolios.
  • Monitor ESG risks and opportunities across various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, and alternatives.
  • Prepare detailed ESG reports, presentations, and recommendations for portfolio managers and clients.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of our proprietary ESG rating methodologies and tools.
  • Stay abreast of global ESG trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Engage with external ESG data providers and research firms.
  • Support the integration of ESG considerations into investment policy and product development.
  • Assist in client and stakeholder communication regarding ESG performance and strategies.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, investment research, or ESG-focused roles
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and investment principles
  • Proficiency in data analysis and financial modelling (Excel essential)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated passion for ESG investing and sustainability

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFA designation or progress towards it
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., MBA, Master of Finance)
  • Experience with ESG data platforms (e.g., MSCI, Sustainalytics, Bloomberg ESG)
  • Knowledge of Australian financial regulations and reporting standards
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
