Job Description
We are seeking an organized and proactive Afternoon Dispatcher to join our team in Port Lincoln for casual day shifts. In this vital role, you will be responsible for coordinating the efficient movement of goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and managing communication between drivers, customers, and internal departments. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail looking for flexible work.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and dispatch drivers for afternoon routes, ensuring optimal efficiency and adherence to schedules.
- Communicate effectively with drivers regarding assignments, routes, and any potential issues.
- Monitor the status of deliveries and collections, providing updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Address and resolve any dispatch-related problems or delays promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including driver logs and delivery confirmations.
- Collaborate with warehouse and customer service teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of local geography and road networks in and around Port Lincoln.
- First Aid certification (desirable).
