Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and physically capable Industrial Bag Filler to join our dynamic team in Mackay. This is a critical hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor bagging machinery to ensure efficient and accurate filling of various industrial products into bags.
  • Perform manual handling of bags, including lifting, stacking, and palletizing products weighing up to 25kg repeatedly.
  • Conduct quality checks on filled bags, ensuring correct weight, sealing, and labeling standards are met.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all housekeeping and hygiene standards.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Assist with loading and unloading of materials, as well as general warehouse duties as required.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.

Required Skills

  • Proven ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including repetitive lifting (up to 25kg) and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Understanding and adherence to workplace health and safety protocols.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills to understand instructions and complete records.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar industrial, manufacturing, or warehousing role.
  • Current forklift license (LF or LO class).
  • Experience with operating industrial machinery or production line equipment.
  • First Aid certification.
