Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and physically capable Industrial Bag Filler to join our dynamic team in Mackay. This is a critical hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor bagging machinery to ensure efficient and accurate filling of various industrial products into bags.
- Perform manual handling of bags, including lifting, stacking, and palletizing products weighing up to 25kg repeatedly.
- Conduct quality checks on filled bags, ensuring correct weight, sealing, and labeling standards are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all housekeeping and hygiene standards.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with loading and unloading of materials, as well as general warehouse duties as required.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including repetitive lifting (up to 25kg) and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Understanding and adherence to workplace health and safety protocols.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to understand instructions and complete records.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar industrial, manufacturing, or warehousing role.
- Current forklift license (LF or LO class).
- Experience with operating industrial machinery or production line equipment.
- First Aid certification.
