Job Description
Join Toll Group as a Part-time Shipping Assistant in Esperance, Western Australia! This is an immediate start opportunity for someone energetic and reliable to support our busy logistics operations. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth flow of goods, preparing shipments, and assisting with various warehouse tasks. This role offers consistent day work hours and is perfect for individuals looking for a dynamic part-time position in a fast-paced environment with a leading logistics company.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the packing, labeling, and preparation of outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against invoices, manifests, or other records to prevent discrepancies.
- Safely and efficiently load and unload goods from delivery vehicles using appropriate equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and warehouse area in accordance with company standards.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks, under supervision and after proper training.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with team members, drivers, and other stakeholders.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols, operational procedures, and policies.
Required Skills
- Ability to safely lift and move packages up to 20kg independently and heavier items with assistance.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Highly reliable, punctual, and possessing a strong work ethic.
- Basic computer literacy, including the ability to perform simple data entry tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a positive team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (even informal) in a warehouse, logistics, or shipping environment.
- Current forklift license or willingness to obtain one in the future is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of inventory procedures or stock management.
