Job Description

Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is looking for a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Pool Maintenance Trainee. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity to learn the intricacies of pool care and maintenance from experienced professionals. No prior experience is required – we will provide comprehensive on-the-job training in all aspects of keeping our resort’s magnificent pools sparkling and safe. Key Responsibilities

• Learn and perform routine cleaning of all resort pools, spas, and water features, including skimming, vacuuming, and brushing.
• Assist with monitoring and adjusting chemical levels in pools and spas to maintain optimal water quality and safety standards, under supervision.
• Learn to inspect and troubleshoot basic pool equipment, including pumps, filters, and heaters.
• Report any significant issues or repair needs to senior maintenance staff promptly.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company guidelines for chemical handling and equipment operation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of pool areas and equipment storage.
• Collaborate effectively with the wider resort maintenance and hospitality teams.
• Participate in all assigned training and development programs.

Required Skills

• Eagerness and willingness to learn new skills and procedures.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions typical of Hawaii.
• Strong attention to detail and observation skills.

• Basic communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in pursuing a career in hospitality or maintenance.
• Basic understanding of swimming pool safety (not required, but a plus).
