Job Description
Are you a proactive, physically fit individual with a can-do attitude looking to kickstart your career in event services? Coates Hire is seeking a highly energetic Marquee Rigger Assistant to join our dynamic team in Berri. In this hands-on role, you will be instrumental in the safe and efficient installation, dismantling, and maintenance of marquees and other event structures. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior riggers in the assembly and dismantling of marquees, temporary structures, and related equipment according to project specifications and safety guidelines.
- Load and unload equipment, ensuring secure transport and proper storage.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment for damage or defects, reporting any issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment on-site and at the depot.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Support other team members and perform general labour tasks as required to ensure timely project completion.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety principles.
- Valid Australian Driver's License and reliable transport.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physical labour role, construction, or event setup.
- First Aid certification.
- Forklift license (LF) or willingness to obtain.
