Job Description
Join the Maersk team as a Warehouse Sweeper in our bustling industrial environment in Elizabeth, NJ. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our large warehouse facilities, contributing directly to an organized and efficient operation. Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming of warehouse floors and designated areas.
- Operate industrial cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, such as sweepers and scrubbers.
- Empty trash receptacles and manage waste disposal according to company guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness of breakrooms, restrooms, and office spaces within the warehouse.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and communicate needs to management.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards observed in the workplace.
- Assist with other general cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures.
