Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team in Casuarina. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our warehouse operations, from inbound receiving to outbound dispatch. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in optimizing processes, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.
- Monitor inventory levels, perform cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies to maintain high accuracy.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
- Coordinate with logistics and transportation teams to ensure timely delivery and dispatch.
- Train and mentor junior warehouse staff, promoting best practices and operational excellence.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and manage orders.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Prepare reports on warehouse performance, including inventory levels, productivity, and order fulfillment rates.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Valid forklift license and experience operating material handling equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- First Aid certification.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role.
