Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and physically fit individuals to join our team as Temporary Fence Erectors. This is an an outdoor manual role based in Manchester, primarily involving the installation, dismantling, and maintenance of temporary fencing systems for various sites, including construction projects, events, and secure perimeters. Successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient setup of our fencing solutions, working as part of a dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and are looking for a physically engaging temporary position.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently erect temporary fencing panels, gates, and barriers according to site plans and safety regulations.
- Dismantle temporary fencing systems upon project completion or as required.
- Transport fencing materials to and from job sites using company vehicles (if qualified and authorized).
- Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs of fencing equipment.
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work collaboratively with team members and site managers to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment and company vehicles.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy materials (up to 25kg) and perform demanding physical tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to work effectively outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Team-oriented attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar manual labor, construction, or outdoor role.
- Full UK driving license (Category B).
- CSCS card or similar site safety accreditation.
- Experience operating basic power tools or manual equipment.
