Job Description
Join Jaguar Land Rover as a Student Supply Intern with a focus on Logistics Automation. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic global supply chain environment, contributing to projects that enhance efficiency and introduce automation technologies. You will support our logistics teams in optimizing processes, implementing new systems, and analyzing data to drive improvements. This role is ideal for students passionate about logistics, supply chain management, and automation, looking to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the research and evaluation of new logistics automation technologies and solutions.
- Support the implementation and testing of automated systems within our supply chain.
- Collect and analyze logistics data to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, IT, operations) on automation projects.
- Prepare reports and presentations on project progress, findings, and recommendations.
- Participate in daily operational meetings and contribute to problem-solving initiatives.
- Document existing logistics processes and proposed changes for automation initiatives.
Required Skills
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Basic understanding of supply chain principles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of automation concepts or robotics.
- Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Previous internship or project experience in logistics or operations.
