Job Description
Are you a passionate and enthusiastic student looking to kickstart your career in hospitality? Novotel Ballarat is seeking a dedicated Student Hospitality Intern with a focus on Front Office operations. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced hotel environment, learning the intricacies of guest relations, reservations, and front desk management. Key Responsibilities
- Assisting guests with check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and courteously.
- Handling guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Managing reservations, modifications, and cancellations with accuracy.
- Operating the hotel's Property Management System (PMS) and other front office software.
- Answering incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate departments.
- Providing local information and recommendations to guests about Ballarat attractions and services.
- Maintaining a tidy and organized front desk area.
- Collaborating with other hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Learning and adhering to all hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Processing payments and handling cash accurately.
