Job Description
Are you ready to kickstart your career in logistics? Toll Group is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Shipping Assistant to join our team in Mount Isa. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the receiving, inspecting, and storing of incoming shipments.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing goods.
- Help organize and manage warehouse inventory, ensuring efficient space utilization.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment safely after receiving proper training (e.g., pallet jacks).
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding shipment status.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Perform general warehouse duties as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and write English clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift and move packages (up to 20kg).
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Basic numeracy skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Prior experience in a physical work environment (e.g., retail, construction) is a plus but not required.
