Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Seafood Sorter to join our processing team in Worthing, West Sussex. This is an immediate hire opportunity for individuals ready to contribute to the efficient handling and sorting of high-quality fresh seafood. As a Seafood Sorter, you will be crucial in ensuring that all products meet our rigorous quality standards before distribution. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately sort and grade various types of fresh seafood according to size, species, and quality standards.
  • Inspect seafood for defects, damage, or foreign materials, removing any unsuitable products.
  • Operate basic processing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to strict hygiene and food safety regulations.
  • Assist with packing and preparing seafood for dispatch.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily production targets.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to a supervisor promptly.
