Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Roof Tile Packer to join our busy manufacturing facility in Geraldton. This is a full-time position offering regular shifts and weekly pay. As a Roof Tile Packer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our high-quality roof tiles are correctly sorted, packed, and prepared for dispatch. Attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to workplace safety are essential for this role. Previous experience in a similar manufacturing or warehouse environment is a plus, but not strictly required as full training will be provided for candidates with the right attitude and work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort and inspect roof tiles for quality control, identifying and removing any defective products.
- Carefully pack roof tiles onto pallets according to specific stacking patterns and quantities.
- Ensure all packed pallets are securely strapped and ready for transport.
- Operate pallet jacks or other manual handling equipment as required (training provided).
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as directed.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks requiring physical exertion, including lifting and standing for long periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment.
- Forklift license (LF) or willingness to obtain one.
- Experience with manual handling techniques.
