Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Public Area Cleaner to join our esteemed team in Carnarvon. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for upholding the pristine condition of all public spaces within our luxury hotel, ensuring an impeccable environment for our discerning guests. Your work will directly contribute to the overall guest experience, maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and presentation that Hilton is known for. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a proactive approach, and a commitment to maintaining luxury spaces to the highest possible standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning tasks across all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, lounges, restaurants, and other designated spaces.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, polish, and sanitize surfaces, furniture, fixtures, and fittings.
- Clean and disinfect public restrooms thoroughly, ensuring hygiene standards are met at all times.
- Empty waste bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Replenish supplies in public restrooms (e.g., toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels).
- Report any maintenance issues, damage, or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and company policies.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and carpet extractors.
- Maintain a professional appearance and friendly demeanor while interacting with guests and colleagues.
- Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality results.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry for extended periods.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
