Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and hardworking Paving Labourers to join our team in Griffith, NSW. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in an outdoor work environment and are looking for stable, full-time employment with the convenience of weekly pay. As a Paving Labourer, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and laying of asphalt and other paving materials for various construction projects. You will work as part of a close-knit team, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. Full training will be provided to suitable candidates, making this an ideal role for those eager to start a career in construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of sites for paving, including excavation, levelling, and compaction.
- Handle and transport paving materials such as asphalt, concrete, and aggregates.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Assist with the laying and finishing of paving surfaces, ensuring smooth and even application.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to achieve project goals.
- Perform general labouring duties as required on site.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform manual labour, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to punctuality and reliability.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety principles.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Previous experience in a similar labouring or construction role.
- Basic knowledge of paving techniques or materials.
- First Aid certification.
