Job Description
Join Toll Group as a Palletizer Operator Assistant and embark on an exciting career in our Fremantle distribution center. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to learn and grow within the logistics industry. No prior experience is required, as comprehensive on-site training will be provided. You will play a crucial role in our day-shift operations, assisting with the efficient and safe palletizing of goods, ensuring they are ready for storage and dispatch. We are looking for reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious individuals who are ready to contribute to a fast-paced team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced Palletizer Operators in the manual and automated palletizing of various goods and products.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment under supervision after receiving proper training.
- Ensure pallets are stacked correctly, securely, and in accordance with safety standards and company guidelines.
- Perform quality checks on outgoing pallets to verify product integrity and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Support inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and accurate product placement.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding operational flow and any potential issues.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly (up to 25kg) throughout a shift.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety principles.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting (not essential, but a plus).
- Current Forklift Licence (LF Class) or willingness to obtain one.
- Understanding of basic inventory procedures.
