Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and organised NDIS Admin Support professional to join our team in Hervey Bay. In this crucial role, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to our NDIS participants and staff, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our disability services. You will be the first point of contact for many, handling inquiries, managing participant records, and assisting with NDIS plan implementation and reporting. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate NDIS participant records, ensuring compliance with NDIS guidelines and privacy regulations.
  • Process NDIS service bookings, invoices, and payment requests accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Respond to NDIS participant and family inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing helpful and compassionate assistance.
  • Assist NDIS Support Coordinators and frontline staff with administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and preparing documentation.
  • Coordinate resources and materials required for NDIS programs and activities.
  • Prepare reports and collect data related to NDIS service delivery and participant outcomes.
  • Support the onboarding of new NDIS participants, including initial paperwork and information dissemination.
  • Ensure all administrative processes adhere to UnitingCare Queensland's policies and NDIS quality and safeguarding standards.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an administrative support role, preferably within the health or community services sector.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) framework and processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with database management systems.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a commitment to person-centred support.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certificate III or IV in Business Administration, Community Services, or a related field.
  • Experience with NDIS specific software or CRM systems.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities.
