Job Description

This internship offers a unique opportunity for aspiring finance professionals to gain hands-on experience within Deloitte’s Audit & Advisory practice. You will work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to real client engagements and developing foundational skills in financial analysis, risk assessment, and compliance. This program is designed to provide comprehensive exposure to the dynamic world of professional services, preparing you for a successful career in finance. This is an on-site position located in our Surfers Paradise office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist audit teams in gathering and analysing financial data.
  • Support advisory engagements by conducting research and preparing reports.
  • Learn and apply auditing methodologies and firm procedures.
  • Participate in client meetings and internal team discussions.
  • Document audit findings and prepare working papers.
  • Contribute to the identification of potential risks and opportunities for clients.

Required Skills

  • Strong academic record in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Accounting or Finance.
  • Prior exposure to accounting software or financial databases.
  • Understanding of basic auditing principles.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential through extracurricular activities or volunteer work.
