Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and friendly Ice Cream Servers to join our team for the bustling summer season in Chipping Norton. This is a temporary, casual role perfect for individuals looking for flexible day shifts and an exciting opportunity to work in a fun, fast-paced environment. You’ll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving our delicious gelato and desserts, and maintaining a clean and inviting parlour.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with menu selections
- Prepare and serve ice cream, gelato, waffles, crepes, and other desserts accurately and efficiently
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, handle cash, and process card payments
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards of the serving area, equipment, and dining space
- Restock inventory and ensure products are displayed attractively
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve minor issues with a positive attitude
- Adhere to all food safety and health regulations
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills
- Basic math skills for handling transactions
- Reliable and punctual with a positive work ethic
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 10kg
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality
- Experience operating a till or POS system
- A passion for desserts and creating memorable customer experiences
