Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Green Waste Sorter to join our team in Wangaratta. This outdoor role involves the manual sorting and processing of green waste materials, contributing directly to our recycling and composting efforts. You will be an integral part of our operations, ensuring that waste is efficiently managed and prepared for its next stage of processing. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety. Weekly pay is provided, reflecting the consistent nature of the work.
Key Responsibilities
- Manually sort green waste materials, separating contaminants and non-compliant items.
- Operate basic equipment safely and efficiently, such as compactors or conveyor systems (training provided if needed).
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Assist with general site clean-up and maintenance tasks as required.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily operational targets.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour for extended periods in an outdoor environment.
- Strong attention to detail for effective sorting and contamination identification.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a waste management, recycling, or outdoor labour role.
- Familiarity with waste sorting processes.
- Current Forklift Licence (highly regarded but not essential).
