Job Description
Are you a skilled assembler with a keen eye for detail and a passion for making things perfect? B&Q is seeking motivated Flat Pack Specialists to join our casual home assembly team in Salisbury. In this flexible role, you will be responsible for assembling furniture and other flat-pack items for our customers in their homes, ensuring high-quality results and excellent customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently assemble various flat-pack furniture and home improvement items in customers' homes.
- Follow assembly instructions and safety guidelines meticulously.
- Ensure all components are present and accounted for before starting assembly.
- Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Manage time effectively to complete assemblies within estimated timeframes.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area during and after assembly.
- Transport necessary tools and equipment to customer locations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in assembling flat-pack furniture and items.
- Excellent practical and manual dexterity skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions accurately.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Possession of own basic assembly tools (e.g., screwdrivers, Allen keys, mallet).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous professional experience as a furniture assembler or handyman.
- Full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle.
