Job Description
Join NDY, a global leader in building services engineering, as an Electrical Drafter in our vibrant Osborne Park office. We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Electrical Drafter to contribute to our diverse portfolio of projects, ensuring the highest standards of technical accuracy and innovation in building services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers, transforming conceptual designs into detailed, precise electrical drawings for various building types. Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate and detailed electrical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD and Revit MEP, including lighting, power distribution, fire detection, security systems, and data networks.
- Collaborate closely with Electrical Engineers to interpret design concepts and ensure drawings accurately reflect specifications and client requirements.
- Ensure all drafting work complies with relevant Australian Standards, building codes, and company quality procedures.
- Maintain and update existing drawings and documentation, incorporating revisions and as-built information.
- Prepare drawing packages for tender and construction phases.
- Actively participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving and design coordination.
- Adhere to NDY’s drafting standards and best practices.
Required Skills
- Proven proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP software for electrical drafting.
- Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles and building services systems.
- Demonstrated experience with Australian electrical standards and building regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all drafting tasks.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate IV in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
- Previous experience working in an engineering consultancy environment, specifically within building services.
- Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflows and principles.
