Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and energetic Dispatch Runner to join our fast-paced warehouse team in Devonport, Tasmania. This ongoing full-time position is critical to ensuring the smooth flow of goods and timely dispatch of orders. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support our warehouse operations, from preparing shipments to assisting with loading and unloading. Ideal candidates will be highly organised, physically fit, and possess a strong work ethic, thriving in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare outbound shipments, including packing, labelling, and documentation.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks and containers.
- Transport goods and materials within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
- Verify accuracy of orders and shipments against manifest documents.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with dispatch, forklift operators, and other warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as required to support warehouse activities.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 20kg) regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar dispatch role.
- Current forklift licence (advantageous but not essential).
- Knowledge of safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
- Valid Australian driver's licence.
