Job Description

Are you passionate about nurturing young minds and creating a positive, engaging environment for children? Goodstart Early Learning in West End is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Creche Assistant to join our casual team. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with kids, is energetic, reliable, and eager to contribute to a stimulating early learning experience. As a Creche Assistant, you will support our educators in daily activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children, and fostering a fun and educational atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead educators with the implementation of daily programs and activities.
  • Supervise children during playtime, meal times, and rest periods, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Help maintain a clean, organised, and engaging learning environment.
  • Support children's social and emotional development through positive interactions and guidance.
  • Assist with basic administrative tasks as required.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with children, parents, and team members.
  • Adhere to all centre policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all children and families.

Required Skills

  • Genuine passion for working with children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Reliable, punctual, and adaptable.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current Working With Children Check (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or actively working towards).
  • Previous experience in a child care or early learning setting is highly regarded, but not essential.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
