Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Cold Store Pickers to join our team in Armidale. This vital role involves accurately picking and packing customer orders within a chilled environment, ensuring the freshness and quality of our products. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders from chilled and frozen storage areas.
- Safely operate Manual Handling Equipment (MHE) as required, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment within the cold store.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
- Monitor product quality and assist with stock rotation to minimise waste.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily targets and maintain operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Ability to work comfortably and efficiently in a cold environment for extended periods.
- Demonstrated physical fitness and the ability to lift, carry, and move items safely (up to 20kg).
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in order picking.
- Proven reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a cold storage, warehouse, or logistics environment.
- Current forklift license (LF) or experience operating other Material Handling Equipment.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
