Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Carpet Cleaning Offsider to join our dynamic team in Port Macquarie. This entry-level position is perfect for someone looking to start a career in the home services industry. As an Offsider, you will work alongside our experienced technicians, assisting with a variety of tasks related to carpet and upholstery dry cleaning. This is an active, hands-on role that requires physical fitness, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for individuals with no prior experience but a willingness to learn and grow within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior technicians in the setup and pack-down of carpet cleaning equipment.
  • Prepare customer homes for cleaning, including moving light furniture and laying protective coverings.
  • Perform pre-vacuuming and spotting treatments on carpets and upholstery.
  • Support the technician during the cleaning process, ensuring efficiency and quality.
  • Handle and mix cleaning solutions safely and according to guidelines.
  • Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work vehicle and equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment.

Required Skills

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and bending.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Valid Australian Driver's License (P2 or full license preferred).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service role.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning products and techniques.
  • Current First Aid certification.
