Job Description
Are you a motivated individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for design and construction? GHD is offering an exceptional opportunity for a Cadet Draftsperson to join our dynamic team in Hervey Bay. This entry-level position is designed for an enthusiastic learner eager to develop expertise in Revit and Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in drafting for diverse projects, from infrastructure to commercial buildings. We provide comprehensive training and mentorship to kickstart your career in the engineering and architecture industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior draftspersons and engineers in preparing technical drawings and designs using CAD software.
- Learn and apply Revit and BIM principles to create detailed 2D and 3D models.
- Support project teams by maintaining drawing registers and documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and translate them into accurate drawings.
- Perform basic drafting tasks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance drafting skills and software proficiency.
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback from project managers and clients.
Required Skills
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
