Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and efficient Bulk Order Picker to join our fast-paced e-commerce warehouse team in Billingshurst. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking large quantities of products from designated storage locations, ensuring orders are prepared for packing and dispatch to our valued customers. This is a crucial role within our logistics operation, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and the smooth flow of our e-commerce business.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick bulk orders from various warehouse locations using handheld scanners or pick lists.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or low-level order pickers (training provided if needed).
- Verify product quantities and ensure items match order specifications.
- Organize and consolidate picked items into designated staging areas for packing.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as required.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding order status or discrepancies.
Required Skills
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move packages up to 15-20kg regularly.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or e-commerce picking role.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or handheld scanners.
- Experience operating manual or powered pallet trucks.
