Job Description
We are seeking experienced and highly skilled Qualified Bricklayers to join our vibrant team working on exciting new housing estate developments across the Geelong region. If you are a dedicated professional with a strong commitment to quality and safety, looking for stable, ongoing work with weekly pay, then we want to hear from you! You will be an integral part of our construction team, contributing to the creation of beautiful, high-quality homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lay bricks, blocks, and other construction materials to construct or repair walls, foundations, partitions, arches, and other structures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and dimensions.
- Measure, cut, and trim bricks or blocks to fit according to plan.
- Mix mortar and other compounds, ensuring correct consistency.
- Ensure work is completed to the highest standards of quality and within specified timelines.
- Adhere strictly to all site safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Collaborate effectively with other trades and site management.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a qualified bricklayer, particularly in residential new builds.
- Demonstrated ability to lay bricks accurately and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of construction methods and safety protocols.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Possession of a valid White Card (General Construction Induction Card).
- Reliable and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications
- Trade qualification in Bricklaying or equivalent.
- Own tools and reliable transport.
- Experience working on large-scale housing developments.
- Current driver's licence.
