Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Bread Delivery Assistant to join our night shift team in Port Adelaide. This crucial role ensures our freshly baked products reach our customers on time, every time. You will be responsible for loading, transporting, and delivering bread and other bakery items to various retail outlets and commercial clients across the region. If you’re a night owl with a strong work ethic and excellent driving skills, this high hourly rate opportunity is perfect for you. This is a full-time, on-site position.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company delivery vehicle during night shifts.
- Accurately load and unload bakery products into and from the vehicle.
- Follow assigned delivery routes efficiently and ensure timely deliveries.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance checks of the delivery vehicle.
- Provide excellent service during drop-offs and interact professionally with clients.
- Accurately record deliveries and manage basic paperwork.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian Driver's License (Car Class C or higher).
- Ability to work consistently during night hours.
- Physical ability to lift and carry bakery products (up to 20kg).
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Clear communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in delivery or logistics.
- Knowledge of the Port Adelaide and wider South Australian road network.
- Forklift license (LF) or willingness to obtain.
- Experience with refrigerated transport (desirable but not essential).
