Job Description
Are you passionate about coffee and eager to learn the art of being a barista? Gloria Jean’s Coffees in Mildura is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Barista Trainee to join our vibrant team on a part-time day roster. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive training to equip you with all the skills you need to become a skilled barista. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in hospitality, learn about specialty coffee, and provide exceptional customer service in a friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete our comprehensive barista training program with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
- Learn to prepare a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items according to Gloria Jean's Coffees standards.
- Provide friendly, efficient, and excellent customer service, taking orders and processing transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, equipment, and dining area.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including restocking and basic cleaning duties.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for coffee and the hospitality industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Punctual, reliable, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to learn new skills quickly and adapt to new procedures.
- Availability to work a flexible part-time day roster, including weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience (any industry).
- Current Food Handler's Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- A positive and 'can-do' attitude.
