Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and dependable individuals to join the Amazon team as a Scan Pack Operator. This is an entry-level, immediate hire position, perfect for those ready to start a dynamic career in a fast-paced warehouse and logistics environment. As a Scan Pack Operator, you will be crucial in ensuring that customer orders are accurately scanned, packed, and prepared for shipment. No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive training. This is an on-site role at our state-of-the-art fulfillment center in Buffalo, NY.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately scan items into our inventory management system using handheld scanners.
- Carefully pack products into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring items are secure and protected.
- Verify product quantities and types against order forms to prevent discrepancies.
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
- Identify and report any product damage or quality control issues.
Required Skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and walk throughout the warehouse.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 49 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer literacy for using scanning equipment.
- Commitment to adhering to safety procedures and guidelines.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or manufacturing environment (even if entry-level).
- Experience working in a team-oriented setting.
