Job Description

Embark on an invaluable Veterinary Student Placement at Mackay Veterinary Hospital, where you will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic rural practice setting. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with routine examinations, surgical procedures, and diagnostic imaging.
  • Observe and participate in both small and large animal consultations and treatments.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with clinic administration tasks.
  • Participate in emergency call-outs and after-hours duties as required and appropriate for a student.

Required Skills

  • Currently enrolled in a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent program.

  • Basic animal handling skills and comfort working with a variety of animal species.
