Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented WFH HR Coordinator to join our People & Purpose team. This is a 100% remote position, open to candidates residing in California, with a preference for those in the Orange County area. As an HR Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and positive experience for our new hires, managing various administrative tasks, and supporting the broader HR function. Your primary focus will be on onboarding activities, data management, and providing exceptional support to employees and HR business partners. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and facilitate all aspects of the new hire onboarding process, including background checks, I-9 verification, new hire paperwork, and system access.
- Act as the primary point of contact for new hires during their initial weeks, addressing questions and ensuring a welcoming experience.
- Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS (Workday) system, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Process various HR-related transactions, such as promotions, transfers, terminations, and leave of absence requests.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and managing correspondence.
- Assist with HR projects and initiatives as needed, contributing to process improvements and program development.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures in a timely and professional manner.
- Generate standard HR reports and assist with data analysis.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) or Google Workspace.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-service oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Basic understanding of HR principles and practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in an HR administrative or coordinator role.
- Previous experience working with a Human Resources Information System (HRIS), particularly Workday.
- Experience in a remote work setting.
- HR certification (e.g., aPHR, SHRM-CP) or willingness to obtain one.
